“We help children with developmental challenges move, learn, and feel better to become more confident, independent and live their best lives!”
At Kid PT, our physical therapists work with children with neurological disorders to develop new abilities, build on their strengths and use innovative approaches to stimulate change.
We work with children throughout Somerset County and beyond of all ages and diagnoses, including cerebral palsy, genetic disorders and brain injuries.
We teach parents modern tools and strategies that open doors to change and progress.
One of our therapeutic approaches to help children learn new skills is called Total Motion Release, or TMR. The Kid PT team has expertise in this approach and use it to tap into hidden potential of each child. One of the best parts is that parents can learn to do TMR at home to keep the changes happening all week long.
Learn more about TMR and how it can impact children with cerebral palsy and other neurological disorders.
Another tool that we use at Kid PT is the Universal Exercise Unit, otherwise known as the Spider Cage.
The Spider Cage provides dynamic support to give children an opportunity to experience new skills without an adult helping them do it. Check out our blog post to see some photos and videos of children in the Spider Cage. A picture is worth a 1,000 words so there’s no better way to see the Spider Cage than to see some of our children in action. Not only can we use the Spider Cage itself, but we can put the treadmill in it and do walking practice too.
